I started this painting a while ago as part of the work for a uni course I am doing. I’ve done more work on it since, trying to capture the dramatic lighting I saw.

Very beautiful. So is your goal to paint 100 originals in 2013?
Yes, fisherholly, that is the goal. I have quite a lot of paintings that I haven’t posted up yet, and I really think I might make it. A teacher once told me that painting is easy, you’ve just got to get past the first four hundred bad paintings, and then you’re set.
